A BOOK WE LOVE
Thunderhead by Sophie Beer
This funny, heartfelt, music filled novel is about the very awkward Thunderhead. She has one awesome friend (who moves to a different school 😔) and a big secret. It's a wonderful story of true friendship, disability and fandom and is full of playlists, cool drawings and plenty of middle grade wisdom. Perfect for fans of Wonder and Lenny's Book of Everything.

Meet Rosie
Our brilliant new convenor of Tremendous Teens, Rosie loves picking books that will challenge, thrill and excite. Rosie studies at uni, works in fashion and listens to Taylor Swift.
Favourite Book of All Time: The Secret History by Donna Tartt. I even chose to study it at school and I still somehow love it.
Favourite Literary Character: Marianne from Normal People or Harold from A Little Life - I can’t choose!
Favourite Food: Either pho or sushi! I went to Vietnam when I was younger and had pho for breakfast two weeks straight.
A Little Fun Fact: I read the Harry Potter books so much when I was younger that the cover has fallen off on each and every one.
INK & CHAPTER BOOK CLUB
My Family and Other Suspects by Kate Emery
Ruth is not thrilled to be spending the weekend at the family farm visiting the ancient GG, her coolly distant step-grandmother. With no internet or phone coverage, Ruth occupies herself by re-reading old Agatha Christie novels, eavesdropping on the adults, and definitely not daydreaming about her sort-of-cousin Dylan. But when GG dies under suspicious circumstances, Ruth's dull weekend turns into an enforced-family-holiday-slash-possible-murder-investigation – and she's not about to let the police get in the way of her chance to solve a real-life murder mystery.
With Dylan as the Watson to her Holmes, Ruth soon discovers that plenty of people had reasons to be rid of GG, and her list of suspects grows to comprise everyone in the house. Including, in the interests of fairness, herself.
